I use MSMA on my yard. I spray heavy doses,at least 10 ounces to the gallon.
It turns my Bermuda but it comes back!
You might give that a try!
I have never had stickers in the yard so, I am not sure it will work!

I've had them in the past I use msma and 24D mixed with a surfactant! No more stickers or weeds! I'm pretty sure the 24D would control them alone!

What kinda grass do you have? You can't use msma on st Augustine or 24D

first of all you have to know what kind of grass you are spraying.
if you have Bermuda - MSMA will work.
for St. Augustine you can spray 24D, atrazine, or Escort. St. Augustine is just about sensitive to anything you put on it - so make sure you follow labels.
As far as the sticker weeds - they are done growing at this point - and the sticker ( burr ) is already made and in the grass. The only way to keep them from coming back is to keep them from germinating this fall or spring - for that you have to use a pre-emerge to keep them from coming back.
you should spray Prodiamine in the fall to control spring broadleaf weeds, then spray it again in the spring before green up to keep summer broad leafs and crabgrass from germinating.

If you do end up spraying 24D careful for windy days, it will roast your bushes.

Where can a person pick up some MSMA I have been told that it is hard to find.

If you have any farming buddies they should be able to get ahold of some. I think mine is MSMA 6+. Good stuff!

I had them in my St Augustine. I got some Image mixed with Atrazine and it knocked them out. Takes a couple of weeks before you will notice any success.
