Re: New atv
A winch. Spend the extra for a good one. The cheap ones die easily.
Re: New atv
Couldn't agree more. The number 1 thing to be sure to add. You'll use it more than you thinkufgators68 wrote:A winch. Spend the extra for a good one. The cheap ones die easily.
Re: New atv
I totally agree with the above two posts. And keep a snatch block on the bike, too. You may never need it, but IF you need it..........

this times 1 million, never even knew they existed, until one day, when I needed it. I haven't needed it since, but I've got it just in case. it would have saved my butt big time that day.GulfCoast wrote:I totally agree with the above two posts. for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day

Re: New atv
All of the above.......
winch
front basket
big back basket
big mofo tires
does that model come with a full skid plate (front to back)?
front stick stoppers
FYI i wouldnt put stick stoppers on the back. Very hard to keep cleaned out and they dont stop anything unless you back up everywhere.

Re: New atv
If you planning on going thru any mud I would upgrade the tires. Mud tires make a big difference over stock ones. Agree with everyone on the winch. I like a drop basket rack on the rear also.
Re: New atv
Winch is a must. Front basket and I prefer a medium rear basket. In our experience the stock racks can't handle the weight of a deep rear basket. We also upgraded to 6 ply tires (with slime) that are more aggressive than stock, but nothing crazy.

I agree with all. WARNING be careful with big racks and oversize tires, My friend had both and always over loaded the rack. The oversize mud tires wore a hole in his gas tank when the rear end was overloaded. I think it was a Kawasaki 700.

Re: New atv
id get the regular foreman with a solid back axle.....2 inch lift, stick stoppers, winch, front basket only....rear baskets tear you bike up and break welds....big booty tires and some pimping rims
Life's too damned complicated to make it too damned complicated
Re: New atv
I have itp mud lites. I did line my rear drop basket with a rubber mat to keep some of the mud out. Gun rack in front and the crappy lights is an issue I haven't solved.

For tires and rims I've had good luck with the folks at pureoffroad.com . Fastest shipping I've ever seen.

Re: New atv
There is also motosport.com. They have a warehouse in Southaven, makes the shipping really quick.
I ordered tires and wheels, a few years ago, and they were delivered in one day.

Re: New atv
For anyone who has issues with crappy lights on an atv, I suggest a 20 inch Cree LED light bar. I have been running one on mine for the last year and it has performed way better than expected. Its unbelievable the amount of light it puts out, and the best part of all is it only cost about $50 bucks with the wiring harness on Amazon, and only took about 30min. to install.
