What is this??

Found this just off a small lake in a piece of property i just inherited between Utica and Raymond. Any idea what this is? Seems like some sort of well???

Strictly a guess, but I would say they use to pump water out of the lake to fill up chemical tanks or a water truck.

Exactly what I was going to say. I have seen a set up very similar to this in the past and that was what was going on.

that is what it is. We have those on some of our fish ponds.

That's kinda what I thought but was thinking its a mighty small lake to sustain that.

How does that work?

Connect trash pump discharge hose to that side outlet? Or is the pipe actually connected to the lake?

280 acres. Was part of my granddad's cattle ranch but they haven't run cows on it in 25 years. We inherited it when my grandmother passed a month ago. Has mixed pines and hardwoods on rolling hills. Hoping it's gonna produce some birds.

Is this place between Neil Collins and Hwy 18? Looks familiar to me. Use to be a guy around there we bought Angus cattle from.
