What If MS Legalized Weed As A Crop?
Read this article about the money that marijuana is bringing into states that have legalized it.
http://www.cnbc.com/2016/02/01/legal-us ... -2015.html
Whether we like it or not, it will be legal everywhere probably sooner than later. With MS agriculture struggling, and the entire MS economy struggling for that matter...would you be in favor of MS passing laws that allow for large scale production of the plant?
NOTE: I AM NOT SAYING I AM FOR THIS...I AM ASKING THE QUESTION TO GET SOME CHATTER GOING....

Re: What If MS Legalized Weed As A Crop?
My questions about this are:
What are these people who are selling the stuff doing with the money they are making? Federal law prohibits it from going into a bank. I don't think the FDIC will touch it. Is there some new kind of depository business springing up from the legal sale of this stuff? How do they secure the deposits? If somebody were to rob a dispensary in Colorado or Washington and run away to somewhere along the river, what law enforcement authorities - if any - would get involved in tracking down said robbers?
Think about it. Selling weed is a federal crime everywhere, and a state crime in every state except Colorado and Washington, and now in D.C. I think. To get law enforcement in another state to track down a criminal, the victim would have to first admit to being a criminal themselves.
Just thinking about it causes headaches.

A dime bag will literally be worth a dime when legalized nationwide

Not on topic but I have zero experience with marijuana. First time I even laid eyes on it was when a team mate was selling some to another student when I was in my first year of junior college. I'm ove there looking at it, asking questions, and just generally trying to understand why he smoked and sold it. Next day it turns out the buyer was a narc and the whole thing was on tape. Those players involved were gone. At the team meeting coach finally got around to me being on the tape. He said, " the cops think you are either the coolest cat they've ever seen or a complete dumb booty........I assured them you are a dumb booty." "Uhhhh......Thanks coach.....I think"

I've always said that the solution to the weed problem is to allow the American farmer to grow it.
In less than two growing seasons, the supply would be so great that it'd be worth about the same as a 50 pound bag of corn....$3.50 per bag or 7 cents a pound.

I'm with you, were can I get corn for $3.50 a bag
It shouldn't be done for financial gains in my opinion. Legalize anything that is illegal and you will make money.. Their is a good reason most things that are illegal are illegal..

You guys need to keep up with the commodity markets....that's the current price that farmers can get for their corn....my point was, that's what weed would prolly be worth, too.

That, my friends is a funny post!!!!!
I say let it grow... Let the farmers farm, and get paid well for their efforts..
