Re: Flood Control Lakes
It ain't looking great, but at least the rains have been scattered so far. It must have come a flood right at the gates, almost 2 inches in a short period - but less than an inch at the Vicksburg gauge and 3/4 of an inch on the Sunflower at Hwy 14. Some places a lot less than that. Of course all my students want to know if the snow will keep them from school. I'm over here going to Hell with that - I hope all the precipitation stops now...

What ever happen to the proposed pumps? Close Steele Bayou gates and use siphon or pump to control water level in South Delta area. Works in 'Nawlins drainage canals in heavy rains MOST times. Biggest pumps in da world for the purpose of dewatering a city. Makes our 6' tall impellers on my dredge look like babies at 14' impellers!
