interesting bird sighting

Postby Wildfowler » Fri Jan 15, 2016 9:36 pm

I've seen this little guy twice now. Today and previously about two weeks ago. It is about the size and has similar markings of a sparrow of some sort, but it's overall appearance is white. The bird appears to have pink eyes in some of my pics. Albino?

I wanted to share some poor quality pics in hopes that someone could point me in the right direction where to look.

Thanks.

Cool bird and good pics, Andy. I don't what species that is. If you want, email me a pic, and I will forward it to our ornithologist at the Museum of Natural Sciences for IDing. Check your PM

If it turns out to be a new species, I want naming rights.

"Wildfowler's Sparrow" has a nice ring to it....

I believe that's a house sparrow with leucism. Very rare. Some people say it's a sign of good luck.

You may well be right. It looks a lot the fourth one on this page.
