my wife has a 2013 rogue. she likes it a lot. it gets really good gas mileage and you can cram quite a bit of crap in the back. it might be a little cramped if you try to use it to take kids and dogs and luggage on a long road trip, but it's great if you are just driving to work or picking up kids from school.

Actually went and test drove today... Did not compare to the Ford Escape.
Fuel economy of the escape mimicked my old rice burner. A lot more room, better ride and much more responsive engine and handling. Less blind spots in the escape as well.
