What size should I look into getting if I want to be able to smoke 3 slabs of ribs and a Boston butt at the same time
All I know is... A wise rooster don't bury his head when a chicken hawk is around...he keeps his eyes on his chickens

Dude...Why'd you make the homeless guy pay for supper?

I know my large is only good for a large butt at a time or you could do 3 slabs of ribs, but not both. Not sure you could even fit that on the xl.

I have a large upright smoker that came with a port for a BBQ Guru. Do you have one for your egg? I really think it would be a nice addition if it works as advertised.

Do they regulate temp correctly? Holding door open to sauce up, etc...

Thanks.

They work really really well. The unit knows when the door opens. Holds temperature exactly correct and lets you load up with a ton of charcoal for a really long burn. I've got one mounted on my Weber Smokey Joe, and it's got a lot less insulation than a ceramic cooker. I set it before I go to bed and it's holding temp the next morning.

I have the Visions B series

a lot less expensive than the others and it performs very well. I really like it. Might even get the smaller one.

I don't use a BBQ guru. I studied up on them and have a couple friends with them. They do work as advertised provided you have a grill that is sealed up pretty good. When I first started looking, I was considering one for my Lang84 stick burner but realized that wasn't really the application it was designed for. With a ceramic style grill or the weber WSM you can get really long consistent cooks. A fire breathing stickburner like a lang just doesn't benefit from it so I was better off just having a few beers and tending the fire :D

I have the large. It wouldn't come close to being big enough for that unless you used some sort of stacking rig and I hate those things. Take a look at something in the size of the XL. It might be large enough without stacking.
