Anyone been? I have been to almost every other ski town in CO and UT but never to telluride. Just my wife and I going. Any specific places good to eat?

Re: Telluride
I spent a summer there but it was 15 years ago and it is one of the best places I have ever been period. I am sure a lot has changes but here is the long short of it from what I can remember. The Mountain Village is at the top of the mountain and the more high class places will be up there.(I did not spend much time there) You have to take the gondola up from town so if you are staying in the village it will limit your town access. Telluride is a very small town and you will be able to walk everywhere. Colorado Ave. is the main street in town and the majority of the bars and restaurants were there. You will have a great time, hit up the Sheridan, Baked in Telluride, and Fly me to the moon saloon if they are still there.

We are loving it here. It is our favorite so far. The only down side to me is the elevation.

Forget the skiing, go in June to the bluegrass festival.

Best of both worlds is Steamboat Springs during music fest the first week of January. Used to go every year. Some of the best times I've had, and the skiing ain't bad either.cajun squealer wrote:Forget the skiing, go in June to the bluegrass festival.
