Ok so our camp doesn't not have central heat and air, is on the edge of a field and can get pretty dang cold at times. We have one of those wall mount propane heaters and a plethora of electric space heaters but the place never really seams to get completely warm. The space heaters do fine in the bedrooms but the main living area which isn't just huge never fully knocks the chill out.
What do y'all suggest for best heating options.

Wood burning stove would run you out of there if you could get a flume installed.

Any insulation in the walls or ceiling?

Not very much. That's our next project blowing in the ceiling. The walls are asbestos outside with rough cut pine board and batting on the inside

I'd figure a 5brick heater would be plenty depending on the size of the space. Can't go wrong with a wood stove but then there's that wood cutting part that's involved.
