The Yeti of Dog Kennels
https://www.gunnerkennels.com/
Man, I wish I had thought of this idea. A former Ole Miss student has invented the Yeti of Dog Kennels. Looks pretty good...kind of hard to justify $500-600 on a dog kennel for me personally...but hey, to each his own.

Re: The Yeti of Dog Kennels
I bet it lasts way longer than the cheap ass PetMate I use. I do like the locking door and drain plug for easy cleaning. Wonder if the Mud River covers will fit them? Bet these start showing up at DU events sooner than later as raffle items and giveaways.

If I got one of those, my In-Laws would try to convince us that Jack and the lap yapper should ride on the luggage rack.
Notice I said "try". BTW, they're gone now.

Re: The Yeti of Dog Kennels
I think I've seen one of those recently. Had a guy that came to deliver something to us who had some kind of super duty dog kennel in the back of his truck that looked pretty impressive like this one does. Guess I should've paid more attention to the name on the kennel in the back of his truck?
Thanks for the link

Re: The Yeti of Dog Kennels
$500 for a plastic box? Wonder what their margin is? Plastic can't be that expensive.

He will probably make a killin and I hope he does (even though he is a black bear). People said the same thing about the price of yeti coolers.....

Re: The Yeti of Dog Kennels
If you look at the website they are in many of the Hollywood Feed stores.
Most people that shop there will spend big dollars on their pets.
Their is a premium cooler market that millions of people have bought into. They convinced us that our old igloo was not good enough to keep beverages and such colder longer and ice from melting for 2weeks, plus being bear/wolverine/water buffalo proof. Many questioned that market at first but now it's common place. I bet this product takes off since it's going to keep your dog cooler or warmer or safer and it's probably bear/wolverine/water buffalo proof. People will flat out drop coin on a pet. If they market it right they may really succeed. I'm not into spending that much for a kennel but a lot of people are.
I bet they manufacture for 50-100 dollars a unit maybe a touch more depending on where they are manufactured. If they are selling at 500-600 retail then the retailer is probably marking up 100%. There is defiantly good profit margin in it.

Last I looked, there were no less than a dozen Yeti clones. Give the Confederate some competition.
