Delta Wings Festival

I haven't seen any talking about the festival this year so I would like to invite everyone to Drew this weekend. We will be having several duck calling contest and a Duck Gumbo contest again this year. If you need info about the festival and forms go to its website

they usually try to have it on saturday as close to halloween as possible..this year just happens to be a saturday halloween!
we're not gonna make the gumbo cook this year, unfortunately, but will be back next year. hope y'all have a big turnout!

They changed it to the last Saturday in October a couple years ago when the state put youth deer season starting the first weekend in November. We noticed a big drop off when this happened. They really need to have a good turn out this year, a lot of hard work goes into putting this on but over the last couple of years the crowds seem to be getting smaller.

If I were not getting traction 4 days a week, I would be there with bells on. Alas......

I'll probably not make it this year. To much going on to take the time to go.

from what I have been told the youth and the meat comp will be in the morning with the State and Regional after lunch
