Lodi, I was looking at the A/T3's also. I chose to go with the ATP though for a little more aggressive tread. I've had them on for about two months and have no complaints. After rebates, the $750 set cost me $560. The ATP is a limited supply tire for certain dealers.

I had AT3s on my previous truck. I was very happy with them.

I'm on my second set now. These are the best tires I've ever owned on the 1500 size 4 x 4. I am using the LT 10 ply version and got 79,000 out of my last set and probably could have gone more if I continue to rotate them during the last 15,000 miles or so.

The rear tires still had a good quarter inch of tread depth that was worn evenly, it was the front tires that were worn down on the edges. The ride quality went to pot after about 50,000 miles however.

Thanks guys, I just couldn't do it though. I read tons of bad reviews and talked with my brother and he said he has them on a Tacoma and they have been the worst tire he has ever bought. Back to the Nittos, I was trying to save some money but I just said screw it and went back with what I had, they have lasted about 90k so I hope to get the same service out of the new ones.

Good lord you got 90k out of a nitto? I have a set on my truck and I've absolutely hated them. Won't stay balanced, wore FAST, and lost any offroad capabilities at 15,000 miles.. I'm referring to the terra grappler on a 1500 Chevy pickup so it's not like I'm hauling campers or anything like that. Because of my tire size (285/75/17) I'm forced to go with the Bfg km2 this time becuase everything else I can find offered in that size is a nitto. I'm not real enthused about having to go with Bfg either, because they are not nearly the tire they used to be. We'll see I guess. The new set will be in next week, but it sucks to buy tires knowing that in the next 30k or so miles I'll be having to buy a new set.

I had the same experience with my terra grapplers. They only got about 25k and were very soft rubber which wore quickly. I rotate mine usually every 7-8k. The BFG A/T ko's I have now are holding up a little better than the Nitto's but are high priced.

what rating did y'all have that wore so quickly? i've got e rated tires on a sequoia (heavy) and they've worn very well rotated/balanced every oil change.

I had 70K off my last set of Nitto's and could've easily gotten another 10K. Best tire I have owned.
