Truck Topper

Postby deltadog » Tue Oct 13, 2015 8:02 am

I have a 2011 GMC 2500 Crew and have been thinking about adding a truck topper(color matched) anyone running one or have in the past? I usually run a second vehicle(hunting) but haven't decided which way to go yet. Thanks

I have had camper/covers in multiple forms.. I had a 1999 Chevy Long Bed with a SnugTop Leer camper and there was TONS of space in there, but you can't haul anything tall... I also had a 2006 Chevy Crew Cab with the hard plastic cover that lifts up and it was ok. Still couldn't carry anything really tall or anything that would go over the top of the bed.. Right now I have a 05 Chevy Crew Cab 1500HD with the 6.5 foot bed and I have a trifold vinyl cover on it.. It is ok too.. It is pretty water proof, and I like that I can flip it back and carry tall items but it is starting to show wear after about 2-3 years..

If I was to buy another truck cover I would get a hard trifold or lockable rollup..

Thanks for the reply, I have always had the roll up locking or fiberglass hard cover and love them both. I am just looking at being able to keep my dog kennel in truck locked and other stuff. From hunting stuff or ball stuff. Usually I have a Tahoe to drive on the side and just keep everything in it, but right now I don't have a second vehicle so looking at options before I buy a Tahoe/suburban to drive on the side.

Thanks

This is my second one and I probably won't own a truck without one on it. Both have been ARE. Throw all your gear in the back. Keeps the inside of your truck clean and clutter free. And when it's raining it all stays dry. Love it
Get em WET!............Their feet that is.
