electrical question on Kubota tractor

Postby nipntuck » Wed Oct 07, 2015 8:30 pm

Stumped and frustrated. Need insight or ideas as to what problem might be. Kubota M9000 with cab. Recently replaced the AC compressor and alternator and now can't get the AC compressor switch or fan motor to work and the ignition /turning the key doesn't engage the starter. All that happens is the fuel flow solenoid clicks repeatedly. Have checked the slow burn fuses, the fuse panel, the safety switches on the transmission and the PTO and can't find any where that a rodent has chewed a wire into. I can short the solenoid on the starter and hold the key as if cranking and get the tractor to crank and run. Battery is good and so far conferring with 2 Kubota mechanics has been fruitless. Gonna get real hot in that cab otherwise. Appreciate any help as I am not an electrician nor a mechanic.

I can't help you with the problem, but I know a guy that, if you are in the Jackson area, will probably come to you and fix it. PM me if you are interested and I will get you his contact info. He has been a Kubota mechanic for over 20 years and has helped us a bunch. Cabs suck with no air!
