Banded Holdings of Springdale Acquires Avery Outdoors

Banded Holdings Inc. of Springdale said Wednesday that it has acquired Avery Outdoors Inc. of Memphis.

Avery makes waterfowl hunting gear under the Avery, Greenhead Gear and Avery Sporting Dog brands. The price of the deal was not disclosed, but Avery's operations will be absorbed by Banded at its northwest Arkansas headquarters.

The company will maintain an office in Memphis.

In March, Banded announced its move from Fayetteville to a 48,000-SF facility in Springdale. Banded Holdings designs and produces waterfowl hunting apparel and lifestyle apparel products under the Banded brand.

Its Banded Nation division produces "Benelli's The Fowl Life with Chad Belding" and the predator hunting show "Dead Dog Walkin'" on the Outdoor Channel and the Sportsman’s Channel.

"This new venture represents the coming together of two of the most talented and experienced staffs in the industry to offer the best in innovative waterfowl hunting and outdoor gear," Banded CEO Chuck Browning said in a news release.

I find it curious that Banded would make Chad Belding the face of their company. Until reading that article, I always assumed that Belding was the owner/CEO because I figured no company would actually want to associate with him otherwise. Hhmmm

As much as I despise Belding and how he portrays the sport, the few Banded products I've purchased have held up well...man that guy just plain sucks though!

I hate to say this but I got some of squaw creek pants, and they are legit. One they come in bottom land, they come in a tall for people over 6', and they seems to be built well. Only one season on them but I like them.

I tried on a friends pair of waders from them, and I swear they fit like bibs. Most comfortable wader I have ever tried on. The day I pay for 350 dollars waders, well that's a long way off.
