What is you favorite layout/skeet BOAT

Postby Rebelducky » Wed Jan 19, 2005 10:40 am

I've got some change burning my pocket and can't make up my mind on what I want to buy or build.
I looked at Dukbums "Final Attacks", Uncle Walts "Bobcat" and I have a Ron Champion Pirogue.
Ya'll have anymore suggestions?

I looked at the Carstens and I'm thinking about modifying my pirogue into a smaller canvasback. Building a deck, adding some floatation, a couple of stabalizer holes and a transom for a trolling motor...I bet if I buy a case of Miller, I'll get some interesting suggestions from Walt.

A pirogue with a top deck. A small, usually one man boat for shallow water. Don't ask me where the term "skeet" boat came from cause I don't know.

Its fiberglass. Best boat of that type I have ever seen. It has flip doors on it like a Finisher blind if you get the package, or you can just make some.

I bought a Final Attack this year. It is very comfortable with the backrest, so get it ($40 extra). The boat doesn't paddle well at all, but a trolling motor pushes like a champ! Brushing the boat is a little difficult because there's very little to attach to.

It is very stable, I can get in and out without any danger of capsizing. I go in and out the front. The built-in wheels are the bomb!

JB, stability comes from the small tunnel hull and the beam to length ratio. That little rascal is 44" wide.
