Was the first article that referenced Beaver Dam, and the railroad being built from Memphis to New Orleans, in 1884 as well?

No wonder there are no quail.

Three miles from my doorstep. Hearing a quail in these parts nowadays is an every-other-year event, sadly.

I'd have to double check for the exact date, sorry I didn't include that. But I only looked at two volumes today, so it will have to be between 07-1884 and 07-1885.Po Monkey Lounger wrote:Was the first article that referenced Beaver Dam, and the railroad being built from Memphis to New Orleans, in 1884 as well?

They were the entity pushing for the upper Mississippi River levee after the 1882 flood...........they purchased the majority of the bonds to get the levee built beginning in 1884.
