RIP Butch Richenback
Heard he passed away today. Truly a legend in North American waterfowl hunting.

Very sad to hear. He was always so nice to my boy when we would visit the shop.

Re: RIP Butch Richenback
Can somebody post what happened? I saw him in January over at the RNT shop I thought. Was he sick or was it something sudden?
Re: RIP Butch Richenback
I believe I read somewhere (facebook maybe) that he had cancer. I do not remember what kind.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

Butch had heart problems, and his lung cancer had come back. I was told at the shop it was basically untreatable.

Re: RIP Butch Richenback
He was diagnosed with lung cancer not long ago. Was sitting on his couch three weeks ago and can't believe he is already gone. It spread very fast. Quicker than they thought. I'm going to his funeral tomorrow. It is in Stuttgart if anyone wants to attend.

Re: RIP Butch Richenback
Passed by the shop today and was telling my wife that I needed to go by there and let him tune a call that he made long ago but I didn't have it in the car. I visited him a few months ago and he was so nice to offer to tune it up for me and I'm now kicking myself for not carrying it with me when I travel over there. So sad for the family..prayers sent.
