Ask DS - contractor licensing

Postby JMCMILLIN » Tue Jun 09, 2015 9:18 am

Long story but I have to take the business law/project management portion of the Mississippi state contractors licsense exam. Anyone got any tips or direction on getting it passed the firsts go round ?

I have the correct code book for the test.

Any thoughts/info is greatly appreciated.

I did not take the Ms as we were grandfathered in. I did take the Florida test. Other than it taking two days and 11 hours each day, it really wasn't that bad. It was open book and I basically made sure I knew how to navigate the textbooks to find answers that I didn't already know. I have grown up in construction and because of that I knew a lot of the stuff without having to look it up, but if that had not been the case I would not have made the time limits on some of the sections. That's about all I can tell you from my experience. If you have no construction background you probably should spend a good bit of time studying.
