Hot rod/custom car shop

Postby Chuckle12 » Sun Feb 01, 2015 5:16 pm

Anyone know of a reputable hot rod shop around central ms? I inherited a 1971 Ford F100 and I'd like to do something cool with it. There are some guys here in town but I want someone who knows what the are doing if it come to notching the frame or something like that. Don't need paint, gonna stick with the patina. I really just need motor and frame/chassis work. Truck has a transplanted 460 so it is off to a good start.

I like those old F100's they look good laid out. When/if funds free up later in life I plan on fixing one up myself.

There is a vid somewhere of a slightly older silverish model f100 bagged and body dropped running twin turbos on big block V8. That thing is wicked.

Skim through this thread. This guy is putting a 66 F100 on a 2011 F150 v6 ecoboost chassis. He's not done yet, but it is going to be pretty damm sweet.

Talbert Goldman is Mike's son and works with him out of Meridian. They do some freaking amazing work! Only person I would let work on a vehicle like that personally.

Sam , call Mike Crawford or Dennis Duncan, (I will PM you their numbers.) they have both done this for YEARS and are bad ass. I am currently building a 54 Chevy truck and doing the work myself, I have stripped the Frame (paid to have the notches and fourlink done) and painted, getting ready to start bolting all of the airbag stuff, power rack and pinion and disk brakes on this week. I will be adding a 5.3 and also ordering the vintage AC so I can be comfy year round, I plan on leaving patina but painting the inside of cab and doing nice Interior. You should subscribe to Goodguys magazine it is awesome for getting ideas and such.
