watched the weather today and it calls for snow tomorrow in illinois and missourri and kentucky. i hope they get 2 feet or more . it will only take about 6 inches of snow to put the ducks in high gear to get to us

Man I hope that forecast is true! Talked to lots of people saying ducks are still in those states due to plenty of food and no pressure. Would'nt take but about five good hunts to forget about the nasty season we have had so far!

We got some snow last night here in Southeast MO. Not much, maybe 1/2" -1".
A couple local ca's are holding quite a few ducks yet. One has around 50,000 and another 45,000, still quite a few snow geese around too. We don't have hardly any Canada's around here. It looks likes it going to actually warm up here next week with high's being in the 40's and the lows in the teen's to 20's.

Deke, i hunted all day saturday on private lnd that borders Schell Osage near Nevada, MO. Snowed bout 1/2 inch only just after daylight. 2 big holes open on the WMA Refuge kept open by birds....saw only about 1000 Canadians, probably 15,000 Snows, and estimated 5000 mallards. we were goose hunting since ducks season is closed middle zome North but the ducks worked our 500 decoy goose spread and have several land in the dry plowed field. waaaaaaaaaay more ducks that I expected to see and does not look like they are will be headed south any time soon since the weather is warming up this week...some of the holes that have been frozedn for 2 weeks startede to thaw yesterday....
