Mississippi State @ BAMA
Alright, let's get it started boys, what do ya have to say and how's it gonna go?
I don't sense a great deal of confidence coming from those MSU fans that have posted lately. Seems y'all wanted someone else to knock everyone out so you could win by default. I look forward to the game this Saturday in Tuscaloosa. I'll be there with family and many good friends.
BAMA must establish the run game in this one to grind out the clock keep Dak off the field. He is exactly the type of QB that gives our defense trouble. If our offensive play calling isn't drastically improved, we could be in for a tough game. I hope those that make the trip have a good time and may the best team win!

I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

While many may have hoped, I sincerely doubt anyone really thought they could win the West without beating sidewalk alum U. With that said, we were some once-in-forever LSU come-apart in TS from that actually being the case. Crazy year.

Re: Mississippi State @ BAMA
I think the fact that it's a 230 kickoff is better than night for State, however I think Bryant Denny is just as tough to play in as Death Valley. Bama is a different team when they play at home. If the Bulldogs win, it will be in a close one, but they must follow the LSU plan of running the ball and keeping their defense fresh while limiting Coopers touches. State can play with them if they bring their A game, however they can't come out looking like they saw a ghost to start the game. State usually plays to the level of their competition and should be up for this one. However, if Bama comes out hot and gets Cooper involved early then it could be over before half.
Also if the Tide doesn't take this one quite as serious and they think this is the 2012 MSU team coming to town, then they will be in for a surprise as this is a much better team. Anybody can beat anyone, just look at the A&M-Auburn game this past weekend, nobody...nobody gave A&M a chance yesterday and they pulled it out. The sun shines on a dog's ass every once in a while, I just hope Saturday is our day, Lord knows we are due.

Any update on Yeldon's injury? With Drake and possibly Yeldon out, I guess the running load with be placed heavily on Henry.
Re: Mississippi State @ BAMA
If Bama is going to beat Ms State they are going to have to throw the ball better than they did against LSU… Ms State has the defensive front/linebackers (quality depth) to shut the run down and make teams throw the ball (which is exactly how Ms State went to BR and beat LSU). MSU is going to make u beat them by throwing the ball and they have shown they can be susceptible to the long balls, BUT you better get it into the end zone with those long balls because they are the number 1 defense in the red zone.
MSU is going to have to come out on fire early to get the crowd out of the game… The last 4-5 games they have been pretty sluggish so looking for them to turn the corner and come out on fire!! I def think they will be up for the challenge of going into Alabama and looking to leave with a win.. I will be interested in seeing how well Ms State offense can move the ball against that Al defense. I look for Dak to be much more active this game compared to the last 4-5 games. I also look for Jameon Lewis to be back and have a big game..

I played small time college baseball and frankly wasn't a D1 talent. So, that dictated where I went to college and therefore no memorable academic experiences from the University of Alabama. I'll bow out of the conversation now, since I'm not worthy as I didn't get my degree from U of A... Your post really added to the thread, thanks for blessing us with your greatness!stang67 wrote:While many may have hoped, I sincerely doubt anyone really thought they could win the West without beating sidewalk alum U. Aww now, I meant no personal insult and never intended to run anyone off. You must understand that that's an easy shot to take at you UA fans, though, personal friends and MSU classmates included. You could have put me in my place pretty easily with some made-up story about the cute redhead in freshman chemistry. just saying.
Back to the topic at hand. MSU is limping into BDS as the Tide is just catching its stride. I heard the spread opened at 6.5 and I can't understand why it wasn't twice that.

Let's stroll around all the MSU shirts this Sat in T-town and ask the same question.......stang67 wrote:While many may have hoped, I sincerely doubt anyone really thought they could win the West without beating sidewalk alum U. No insult taken and I may have seen a redhead or two in Chemistry, it just wasn't at U of A. I wish the Tide was catching its stride. It sure doesn't seem like that to me. I think we all know it will be a tough one, no matter who wins.stang67 wrote:Aww now, I meant no personal insult and never intended to run anyone off. As to the sidewalk Alumni, you have plenty at all the SEC schools. Lord knows I run across plenty of em here in TN all the time...

Re: Mississippi State @ BAMA
Bama to me hasn't looked all that great to me all year with the exception of the A&M game. They will need to run the ball effectively to beat MSU. One thing for sure is the passing game is hit or miss.
Re: Mississippi State @ BAMA
What's up with this elitist attitude that says only alumni can be fans? I've been an MSU fan since I was old enough to put on a baseball glove. Never
attended a class at MSU, but does that make me a lesser fan? Your arguments are insulting to Fans that have stuck with MSU through all these years
of sucking with no other ties to the school besides just loving the teams. I would argue the fact that "sidewalk fans" as you call them, are far more
dedicated fans than you Elite alumni. Just sayin.
And for the original question. MSU wins by 14. Going to look like a completely different MSU team that we've seen the last 3 weeks. Lot more like Sept. 20th
in that death valley place.
