I'm looking at getting an electric golf cart with a rear fold down seat to ride the twins around the land and maybe hunt off of it. I would like a 4WD but not sure if they hold up well enough.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I've got a club car with lift kit, wheels and tires, and a flip down back seat. Does fine but I really don't take it through any bad stuff. Not sure the 4WD is worth the money.

I wouldn't mind having the 4wd but prob wouldn't use it much. Really just wanting it to haul my 15 month old twins around on. What kind of probs have you had out of it and how far will it go on a charge?

Get a 48 volt club car. 2005 or older
they ride the best. they will go about 8-10 miles on a charge depending on terrain.
I've had golf carts - bag boy buggies - not I have a Polaris EV - the EV is hands down the best I have ever had.

You want the Best as said above? or the best under a budget?
The best is hands down a Garia. Expensive though

Re: Ask DS - Best Electric Golf Cart
Find you a Yamaha G22-G29 GAS golf cart. Never have to worry about changing batteries every 3-5 years and never have to worry about charging or being out and batteries draining. If you plan to lift and use the cart offroad, I would certainly look at a gas. If you do get a gas and want to modify it, look at Plowman's Carts if you plan to keep the OEM motor. There are V-Twin upgrades that you can do to them. I wouldn't dare try to do the below with an electric.

If you do want electric, find you a Club Car DS 48v cart. Club Car is all aluminum construction, where as EZ-GO is painted steel. Yamaha electric is good, but Club Car is your better of the three. Then there is Garia, but no need for one of those. You will want a CC with a solid state controller and not a resistor cart. If you do lift, I would consider Plum Quick motors as they are the best on the market when it comes to upgrading motors. Silver Wolf Motors is a company that makes a 4wd conversion for electric golf carts.

Thanks all... Still in the market... Thought about a Beast 48 ..... Steering clear of the Bad Boy Line..... Leaning toward a Club Car Precedent 48 with a small lift and grips with a back seat.

Buy a used EV - trust me.
I've had them all. If you hunt the EV is the best there is as far as electric.
if your using it for farming / riding / ranching - then I would consider other options.
