My point exactly. Nick Marshall had the same numbers minus 2 horrible picks but his team lost. I love the dawgs but I am a realist as well. This is by far the most average group of heisman candidates I can ever remember. To have a heisman front runner projected to go in the second round of the draft if it were today says a lot. Got a lot of football to go so things can change quickly. Give Baylor or tcu states defense and their qbs are at the top of the heisman list cause they can sling it.

Why do people want to overlook his rushing yards? I've noticed his critics like to leave those out.

I am a state fan. He has good rushing yards and I am not disputing that but they are between the tackle rushes mostly. I am only saying this based on his draft status. He is a great college qb like tebow, Russell etc that ran between the tackles and got wins. Manzeil, nick Marshall, Vick, Vince young etc were runners that extended plays to throw the ball or run if they had to but again they stayed hurt in nfl like rg3. For him to only be projected as a second round pick and be the front runner for the heisman is nuts. He isn't the best qb in college and that's the position he would be drafted for. Like I said keep winning and he stays at the top but lose and stock drops drastically. Let Baylor keep winning and their qb will be near the top and drafted way before daks for a qb. State has a great TEAM. I think their little running back should be in heisman talk. He is a lil beast, Pearce harvin like.

Rushing yards for a college qb don't mean much in nfl. It is proven legs won't last at that level. Rushing yards win college games and state is great at managing the clock that way. Like tebow, it wins games at the college level. Saved texas with young at qb as well but doesn't translate to nfl type qb needed to read defenses and throw the ball effectively. Now Bo is in heisman talk. He can throw well at times but at this point he shouldn't be in conversation with his numbers but again ole miss is winning so he is. If auburn goes on a tear and beats bama and ole miss and gets to sec ch game then Marshall will be top heisman candidate then.

You mentioned State's running back and I was just talking about how much I like to watch him. No matter what happens that fella gets up and runs back to the huddle. I have never seen him ask to be taken out of the game and every time I have seen a shot of him he is always smiling. I like to watch guys like that.

Probably won't make a movie about him, but I'm proud he's a Bulldog. http://m.espn.go.com/ncf/story?storyId= ... rc=desktop
