Bach. party blue water trip in January

Trying to put together a bach party in January. We are thinking about going blue water fishing. I have thought about cabo, virgin islands, key west, etc. Anybody got any recommendations?

Dang. Y'all are doing it big. I would go with Cuda Scheer out of Cocodrie, LA if looking for tuna. It's not Cabo, but you won't be fishing with Cuda there either... I'll give you his number if you like or google Cocodrie Inside Charters.

Costa Rica has really, really good fishing

2nd on Costa Rica if you are going big. Fishing is pretty much world class and it is relatively easy to get to. It's been 15 years since I've been but seems like flight was about 5 hours.

Key West is awesome if you want it to be more than just fishing. Great bars and stuff to do, and the fishing is also fantastic. I don't have any recommendations on offshore guides since I only fish the flats there, but there are plenty. Not sure on what you want to spend and if you want to stay offshore for several days, or go out daily or not, but Key West would give you options for both. You don't have to go too far to find Tuna and the sort, so day trips would be very do-able there.

Plus no passports and and border hassles. That's a big reason why I love Key West.

Cabo has the best selection for hmmm ...... Deep sea fishing and getting your noodle wet.

Buddy of mine called me about booking Tropic Star. It's booked out well in advance. We were looking at a year out or mire to pick dates. A bucket list trip for sure.

Check out and see whats in Baja, or one of the Islands(BVI, USVI, and the like). Thats going to be tough, good fishing and nightlife. Ill check with a friend who does it a bunch and see what he says.
