Mike Moore just added a sound file with the Mack's osdc on facebook. Best one I've heard so far, but that call is still missing something.

A majority of the ones I have heard all sound thin. Lots of rasp in the call but some of the guys just can't fill it up with air.

#193 finally arrived today in the mail. I think everybody else has already got theirs and doubled their money on fleabay.

Didn't know what to expect after hearing sound files from owners of varying skills. In hand, it's a good looking call. I like the daisy cutter old style logo. And as for sound, I got a gooood one. It is tuned heavy (a plus). It keeps it's rattle from bottom to top. I'd buy this specific call (#193) again without a thought.

Hope you other guys who ordered one get as lucky.

Does it have the bark though? That's the key component of the old daisy cutter. That's the reason most couldn't blow them right.

someone offered a new SX3 for it.

The #000 was supposed to stay in the shop collection. It was accidentally shipped out. I don't know what deal RNT will make with the guy to get it back.

So much hoopla over #'s. Now they know the #001 wasn't the first one and some guy paid $750 for it. Like that was the first insert cut in the first place. Also, they're thinking the inserts were engraved as the # in which they came out of the CNC. Those 250 inserts were turned, tossed into a tray, then sanded, tossed into another tray, buffed, tray again ....... inserts cut on the mill and finally engraved before toneboard sanding and tuning.

GH22, no I don't think it has the bark of a Gen 2. I've never tried a Gen 1 human skull, but I hear they had it, too.

This one has lots of rattle. More like the full scrolls. You can stand on it and not overblow it. But it has hold, and none of the OSDCs I've tried did. It will bounce and Cajun squeal with some effort.

I'll post up a sound file later. None of you MS state champs give me crap, okay?

That call is seriously lacking what the OSDC actually was. It's too squeaky, lacks bottom end and doesn't have the pop. That's why everyone is selling theirs. Prices have dropped over the weekend.

Cha-ching!

I had a guy walk up to me at camp 2 years ago and offer me $400 "cash" for a Gen II DC, and I pulled that sucker off the lanyard so fast it made his head spin. Then he got grumpy because I would not take a check. I wish I had purchased 20 of them back in the day, I could have cashed in for a new Perazzi MX8 target gun.

I am not a DC guy. Nor will I ever be confused with a champion duck caller. But Gary/Cupnglide has a hedge Gen II or so DC that sounds better than any I have ever blown, and I would have bought a bunch just like it back in the day if I had ever found one. I did not even realize they ever made them in hedge.
