Did you have a spring type mattress before? Firm? My concern are some of the reviews saying that it was too firm. Did you do with the 12 inch gel or regular 12 inch? Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

That is the one that we ordered, because it was the most reviewed. I had the same dilemma about the which one to buy.
We did have a spring type (allegedly firm). It was a Sealy or Serta or someting...we bought it at Sears. I do not think the bead is too hard. I read those same reviews and worried that it might be. I have rested very well with it. I am a fan.

I bought one. I got the 12" one that was around $700. It is firm, but still has the memory foam softness. My wife doesn't like it but I do.
I've had it since early spring (Feb/early March) and no issues so far not even an indention even on the fat boy side. Ship it right to your door.
If you don't like firm mattress better see if they have a selection option. I didn't see it when I ordered mine. Just ordered the one I clicked on.
Happened to be the firm one I guess.

It has a place notched in for better toe hold.

I recently bought an iComfort and love it. Best mattress I've ever owned.

And these ones y'all talkin bout being bad booty and have cold gel are $400? I paid about $900 for a pillowtop that I absolutely hate. There is a 10 inch divot in my bed where my big booty sleeps every night!

No, mine was north of $2k but it was a king and it's literally the best money ever spent.

Obviously the price is better than Tempurpedic but how does the mattress compare? I'd much rather spend $2500 than $4000 all things being equal...

It's awesome. Doesn't seen to leave a big indention and also stays very cool. I have no complaints.

For those with the sleep innovations, how are they holding up? I've had my memory foam for around 8 years and I'm in the market for a new one.

Bought my son one this summer. I've threatened to make him sleep with my wife so I can have it.

+1,000,000 on this! They also don't hold up as well in my ever so humble, albeit absolutely perfect opinion. Of course, the wife and I both prefer sleeping on as hard a mattress as we can find.

That being said, there are a lot of price differences without much difference in construction. Shop around. We got a new mattress and box spring set at T&D that cost a whole lot less than the big name brand at the mattress store, and it is much more comfortable.

Good luck.

I was sleeping on a firm simmons traditional style mattress and my back was killing me. Swapped to a memory foam and had a miraculous recovery in a few days. Have had it about 3 years and I can tell it is starting to indent a little now. Think it has a 7 year warranty so I may be asking for a replacement. I still think memory foam is the bomb if you have any kind of back problems. We started off with a pillow top when we moved in our new house 7 years ago that had a 10 year warranty. They have brought us a new one of those twice in 7 years.
