Last one from Mr. E for a while

Postby Jake St. John » Wed Jun 25, 2014 7:08 am

Here is a Mahogany over Walnut Turpin that I have just finished up. It is in a group of 4 turpins, 1 cutting call, and a one sider that I am finishing up. It will be a little while before I get back in the shop. My eye pressure has gone way up and they are sending me to a specialist. Cannot be around any call dust for a while. Does anyone know of a good, comfortable respirator they would recommend? I would love to find a way to work on my other orders as soon as possible.

Thanks,
John Eddleman/ Mr. E

The call in the above photo's happens to be mine. I had been on Mr. E's waiting list for quite a while and it is the 5th call he has made for me. I have not gotten a call from him that didn't sound fantastic but, this little jewel is without a doubt the best sounding box call I have ever put my hands on. (I'll be 58 in a couple of months and killed my first turkey in 1982, so I've played/heard a lot of calls.)Mr. E, you sir are truly an artisan when it comes to making turkey calls. Thank you and best wishes for a speedy recovery with the issue with your eyes..............................................uncle C

Chip. That one was a bona fide "Keeper" I saw a drawer full of Jimmy Riddell "Keepers" one time. I was invited to pick one out of a drawer of about 20 or so duck calls Mr. Jimmy Riddell put aside as the Creme de Creme. Mr. Jimmy put about 1 a year in that drawer. Only a select few were able to pick one. The one I picked turned out to be one he had used for 3 years. It is still, my go to duck call. ---- You got a good one Chip. Have fun with those Big Bearded Boys, and thanks for the interest in my calls.
