Ducks or No Ducks, Being in a blind this morning sure would have beat sitting at my desk.
At least yall don't have to be at work on NEW YEARS EVE like I am. Go hunt,
get outdoors, enjoy the woods! You never know when you might not have that chance! Just quit complaining I'm sick of hearing it!

If yur sick of hearing of it, why would you pa-ruse duck hunting boards during the $#!+ season any of us have ever seen? Personally, Im sick of the 'its just great being out here & watching the sun come up' bs I hear from topwaters all the time, followed by 'its better than working'. I see the sun come up every day, and although always grateful, Im never surpirsed by it and don't see why ya'll are. It's gone way past 'great being out there', it sucks and we got a right to complain. Says so on the bottom of a duck stamp, legal to kill ducks, or complain about the lack of oppurtinty to do same....Happy new year, travis

Geezzz Travis..... looks as though you have spent the last several days as i have.....NO LUCK MUCH..... you can only spend so much time on the porch till it gets boring as heck....{hell would have been a better word}.. this season has been another learning experience for me... just when i think i know it all, i find that i don't know duck......

Topwater is the little minnow that swims along the top of the water with his eyes always looking up.
Travis just full of tomato soup and chili. He has gotten to be quite as chef this duck season. Don't get in a tizz about his comment concerning watching the sun come up. He has to get to the blind earlier to eally watch the sun come up.

Naw I don't take no offense...just curious, because Travis said in a post a while back that he liked to make up words (or come up with sayings to keep everybody guessing as to what they mean). I'm just trying to keep up.

Now as to the suv comment, I did trade in my Toyota pickup in on a used suv last year--but that's a fraction of the cost of them Z71's trucks I see parked at the boat ramp and the only camo I have ever bought is Mossy Oak since they came out with bottomland. Does it count if my bottomland "clashes" with my shadowgrass and breakup?

You'll have to ask my hunting buddy whether I walk funny through the ankle deep mud--although, that aint happened this year because we have been relegated to hunting out of a dang boat, which sucks big time.

Ya'll have fun and kill some ducks...getting a good hunt or two before season is over will help all of our wounds.

Hell I'm with Goose on this one. I can't stand getting up at 4 AM, hooking up the boat, driving 1 hour or more, paying upwards of $5 to launch a boat, getting all loaded up in said boat, venturing into some of the most godforsaken crap you've ever seen, throwing out 3 bags of decoys in the dark, having to flip half of them over and re-position the other half since they always seem to want to be located within millimeters of other decoys when you throw them out, fumbling around in the dark trying to set up the duck blind on the boat. and then sitting there for 5 hours without firing a shot. Now that all of that has taken place, you do it all over again in reverse order. All in all you have been away from home since 4 AM, wasted $10 gas in truck, $5 gas in boat, lost 3 hours of good sleep in a warm bed, gotten cold and wet, didn't shoot one single duck...by the time all is said and done you have knocked a hole in $30 after getting something to eat en-route. Now if I had gone to work I would have made about $150 and had gotten to see that same sunrise I had seen while duck hunting...but would be $180 ahead. So if I want to bitch and complain about the friggin ducks not being here or anything else for that matter then so be it.

Sounds like you have been goosed one to many times this year! Sorry you can't seem to kill a duck. May be your being punished for being such a "turd-cutter", I don't know if driving a SUV, wearing new camo, or walking like a bitch in knee deep water makes anyone more or less of a hunter. None of witch I have or do, and I've still more than likly killed as many ducks as you have. Sorry if all you want to do went you hunt is kill, but some of us working class people just like being given the opportunity to be in the outdoors with friends.I'm guessing with your attitude you don't have any friends so it must get pretty lonely on the water. So you get on message boards and run your big mouth all the while hiding behind your computer,and escaping from the reality of your miserable life! Oh by the way waders are for pussies who are scared to get wet I wear hip boots, and also I drive a lexus Bitch!

dude...I'd be careful spouting off to ole goosie like that. I happen to know that he is a hard hunting man. He trains dogs year round in anticipation of being able to put all that training to good use. He along with the majority of us on here are having a terrible season...and tempers seem to be popping up where normally they wouldn't. That whole deal about "I'm just happy to be in the outdoors" etc etc is getting a little old. It seems to be a highly thrown around statement this year. As I stated in my reply I am getting a little sick of going through all the trouble I mentioned only to be able to say "I saw a beautiful sunrise."

The very fact you think Im an "turd-cutter", shows why I do have friends. Face it, some folks got a sense of humor, and some folks suck. Aint never had to prove anything I said or did on the net, cause Im excatly who I am. If that bothers you, I still got it. You might wanna go take a poop and relax brother, cause you wound that tight you gonna blow a gasket. Aint never heard me lay down a brag... I'll tell a zero on myself as quick as a totesack full, cause I aint bout trying to impress none of ya'll. I'm secure enough about myself to do that, can you say the same?

If me and my boy's have to come down there somebodys getten their booty whooped. Im so disgusted I have been thinking about doing a hunt at Water Grove Appartments film is a 5 Oclock I will be the one with a sack full of big fat green heads sporting the hand cuffs...heh sigh.........
