Summer work shirts
What shirts have you found that actually made a difference as far as being cooler and dryer through the day. I am talking about working outside not playing golf.

Columbia has been the best bang or the buck for me and staying cool outside.

Cheap walmart(or comparable) short sleeved button up shirts, like a cheap short sleeved "dress shirt".
Re: Summer work shirts
Academy sales their version of the Columbia shirts(Magellan) that are just as comfortable for about half the price.

I've had not such good luck with those.JaMak84 wrote:Academy sales their version of the Columbia shirts(Magellan) that are just as comfortable for about half the price.
I'm a Columbia man myself. They stand up through hours on end of heat.
For a simple 'cool' shirt, a cheap button up 'dress' type shirt works great. Anything thin.
If I don't do it, I ain't gettin nun.......So i'm doing it
Re: Summer work shirts
My knock off Columbias never seem to do as good for me. For a thin t-shirt style shirt, I like the Columbia in the Omni-freeze zero:

I have a few of these, they keep me cool and I barely know they are there.

Sam's sells a nat gear Columbia style shirt. It's super thin and airy. I imagine a nail or snag would have you in a custom redneck rig pretty quick.
Trip probably has one of every color...nat gear or your queer.
I find the cheapest button up short sleeves as I can for work.

+1 on those Nat gear shirts also there's a brand called Habit that feels like silk. Super cool.
Im a rather rotund fellow. I don't wear cotton in the summer. Its either a "fishin" shirt or some form of a polyester t shirt or polo.

No shirt at all...get tan and get all the ladies.

Re: Summer work shirts
I have a couple of the Magellan shirts from Academy that I like.
Re: Summer work shirts
Not a big fan of the Academy/Magellen fishing shirts, although I do like their pants. The Bass Pro columbia-lookin shirts (world wide sportsman maybe?) are not bad.
Re: Summer work shirts
I'm wantin to buy me some cheaper fishing style shirts to wear everyday but I ain't gonna pay no damn $50 on Columbia's to pretty much destroy at work!

I like the Magellan tshirts. I think they call em fishing shirts. Really light and cool. I like a lot better than the Nike dry style. It's not cotton. Cheap too. I bought 6 of em.
