Prob a Bad Cap. 8-12 dollar fix.

Pull corner panel off, take pic of wired scheme, remove capacitor and test Mf reading if you have a multimeter capable. If not take it to the parts place by Hibbet sports in Pearl and they will test for you.

Cap is the round metal cylinder with the wiring plugged into it on the pic.

What edub said is probably your problem. My AC guy told me the feds tightened up on the materials they use to manufacture them and they don't last more than a few years now. Look for Amrad brand.

Screw that guy in pearl. Bought a part from him, ended up not needing it. Wouldnt let me excange it, was a d!ck trying to ask questions, overall just an "turd-cutter".

Most electrical parts places won't exchange/return parts due to potential for accepting back used product which could potentially have been damaged or quality diminished.

Dude is a booty though. i rarely talk to him, just ask for specific parts when i walk in, pay and then walk out.

Capacitor on one of my units in the back of the house goes out every few years I just keep a spare and fix it and go buy another one the next day. Usually goes out over the weekend anyways. And always right after a shower. That unit has a attitude I swear! Never have had anything to happen to the front unit kinda strange.

The compressor does not run properly anyways. It kicks on and off. Just to cheap to replace the unit. Cause when i do I'm going to replace the whole unit. Time to go with one of the new units on R410. I priced a new condenser like what I have and could get one for like 700 but it will not be much longer before you can't even get freon for those units.

This is the only site I am a member of or would ever consider asking for advice on. And it's never about hunting!! Lol
