Taking fun out of hunting?
I had a friend of mine that went hunting last weekend at a prominent hunting club in MS. I won't name which club because I don't want to make anyone mad they may be a member. Anyway, he said seven of them limited out by 8:30 and did not put out one decoy and did not call. Is it just me or is this taking the sport out of duck hunting? However, I must say I was envious. Can I go next time?

If it can go wrong, it will go wrong.
I heard Fighting Bayou hasn't had crap for birds all year. I heard they were not anywhere close to the numbers they usually have. A friend of mine works for a member and he said he hasn't even stepped foot in a duck blind on Fighting Bayou all season because of lack of birds. But this was 2 weeks ago, a lot can change in 2 weeks...

no fun
that club is out of the roof to get in to 100,000 or such. i would quit if i had to pay anything more than gas and time . that would be close to saying you are good at picking up women by going to the ho house with a hand full of 100's. same principal. anyone can buy into something like that provided you got enough money but that aint hunting in my book. not jealous but it just aint like real hunting.

Are you telling me that a duck is easier to kill because he likes to land in a place that isn't hunted everyday and has food and cover? It seems to me there are alot of ducks flying on the edge of the delta every year. If you are lucky enough to have a hunting spot along that flyway then you can kill ducks. Most of the land that is in that area cost alot of money (I wonder why) but they are the same ducks everyone is trying to hunt reguardless of how expensive the land is they decide to land on. It seemed like everyone was defending comp yesterday for the amount of ducks he can kill every year - if he had paid $100,000 for his place would this defense still be there?

dumbass
what i am saying is anyone can pay to go to texas and hunt in a fence to kill 160 class deer but not everyone could go to malmaison and do it. i just said it is not as much sport in it . thats all ! anyone can buy deer, ducks, "BEARDED CLAM" or what ever but it just aint the same as going out and doing it with out money. public hunting is harder than 100,000 hunting. i have been hunting way longer than alot of these big money guys and seen places i had where we hunted bought out by people that know nothing of the sport just because of money!!
