Ask DS- Masters tickets
Anyone show up for practice rounds without tickets and able to get any there that morning? Augusta is a defiant bucket list item just not gonna drop the 600 bucks on stubhub. I've entered the lottery for 3 years and haven't been selected yet.

I went 2010 with my Bro-in-law and he had been waiting for 10 or 11 years before he got drawn in the lottery, so you may as well get ready to wait a while. When we were there, the going rate from scalpers was $100 to $200 and there were literally hundreds of them lining the streets as we approached the golf course. Lots of people go every year and get tickets on the morning of. I would recommend going on Wed if you have a choice. The par 3 tourney was worth the trip by itself.
Re: Ask DS- Masters tickets
I've been lucky enough to go a couple of times on Monday. There are always tickets available in town. We bought one for our group in 2012 that was a few hundred dollars, maybe $300? I can't remember, but it was not $600!
No doubt you need to make that trip happen- it's a strange feeling inside the gates, almost surreal.

Re: Ask DS- Masters tickets
I have some friends who have done it several times, and always had great luck!

Another trick is to go around noon and catch people leaving and get their ticket ang go back in for afternoon.

The contrast between the course at Augusta and the streets leading up to Augusta is pretty impressive.

Re: Ask DS- Masters tickets
I've gone a few times on Wednesday so that we can go to the Par 3 tournament too. We watched 4 hole in ones in a 1 hour period sitting on the lake that has 3 holes on it.
I've never paid more than $200 for that Wed. ticket. I always get them on ebay. We go so early and pay to park in a yard........I've never seen a scalper. We walk in the sec the gate opens though.

We came in around 8 or so. I saw a few trying to buy on the way in, but not anyone selling them. Someone mentioned that they are watching for people getting tickets off of people leaving. Tickets were high but worth it.

Apparently you can get tickets for the final round through Horseshoe casina. My group was makin the turn at Cottonwoods Saturday and we all went in for a bite. In the bar was a bunch of guys havin a 19th hole celebration. The guy sittin at the far end was none other than Rocco Mediate. Buddy of mine asked the pro what that was all about. We were told they brought him in to give the big fish a 9 hole clinic and then everybody(30 guys) is hoppin on a jet Saturday night and flyin to the Masters.
According to the cart guy all those were "7 star players". Said you gotta lose a half million to get that rank. Those are his numbers not sure about how accurate that info is.
