I hunt simular type settings...ya have ta put your dekes out off the levee a ways...say 30 - 50 yards, then, position yourself according to the wind. More often than not, ya need to find a way to conceal yourself out in the field. Ive been sitting on a 5 gallon bucket and carry a pair of dykes so I can cut down some cover to brush up with. Sometime they bust your decoys if there are no ripples on the water. Be prepared to be mobile in case you have to relocate quickly. Y'all have a nice day 8)

a good strong wind at your back so they will have to fight it to land. I think it distracts them somewhat and they want to get into that wind break. Just my .02 - it's worked before....or - hit em on that second to last pass ...you know, that one that you always say "dang we should have killed them on that next to last pass".
