Bryant v Reeves
Saw that Bryant has threatened extra legislative session if Reeves does not allow for Senate vote on Patrol School. Reeves counters that MHP has poor leadership and does not deserve a patrol school.
How did these guys end up being on the opposite end of the spectrum from one another?
Heard Senator Michael Watson this morning stating that he wonders why the Senate even has senators because nothing gets done without Reeves allowing it to happen - he does not allow up and down votes or refers bills he does not like to Nancy Collins' committee to be killed.
There are a lot of odd things going on at the Capitol it appears.
Last year, Reeves would not allow a vote on a DPS proposed bill to protect the personal information of gun permit holders from public records request until the political winds forced him to...now he is claiming in his twitter to be the defender of gun rights against DPS.
For the first time since Reconstruction, the GOP has control of the House, Senate, Lt. Gov and Gov's Office and they are fighting like cats and dogs.
Anyone have an reasonable explanations?

Reeves has always been an arrogant, self-centered individual from what I understand from politicians. They say he always makes things look like they are his idea and if not, he won't push them. He is a Democrat........I don't care what party he runs under. We need to get him out of there.

Experience is a freakin' awesome teacher...
Re: Bryant v Reeves
On the Hwy patrol issue, I disagree that there is such a dire situation as is being presented by the Gov. and some radio talk show hosts. If the Hwy patrol
is being poorly managed, I think Reeves should back up that statement with facts and not accuasations. Now, do I think he needs to go.....YUP, I sure do.
He's killing very good bills that would do a lot of good for our state, especially on the education side of things. He needs to go.

Re: Bryant v Reeves
I googled Reeves and gun permits and ran across this on another board...
http://www.msgunowners.com/t42126-email ... ate-reeves
I thought that was kind of funny...he is asking supposed gun owners for money to defend the 2nd Amendment. He never mentions where the money will go or how it will be used.
I also wonder who he sent this to - individuals that have donated money to him in the past? Maybe to gun permit holders...but how did he get the permit holder information?

Here's a little insight for y'all-
Reeves doesn't like the Public Safety Commissioner (Santa Cruz) and told Bryant that until he is out no more money for MHP. ...just a little something I heard this week.

So because of a personal beef, Reeves is going to risk the lives of current troopers and citizens of the state? Nice...that is Obama-like leadership.
