What do you mean? What did I miss?

The primitive weapon season is going away for private lands next year. It will be weapon of choice with the exception of the new early doe season. Hopefully public land will follow shortly.matador1 wrote:What do you mean? What did I miss?
All the exposed hammer single shots are no longer going to have their "must-have" value. My guess is if you can get $150 right now, you'll be doing good. That's going to be the top end price for gun-only sales. (no optics)

You will just about have to give them away. I don't think many people will want to pay much for them for a chance to kill a doe for 10 days.

I have seen a lot popping up on gun forums.. But to me these are still great guns.. Short, handi and great woods guns.. I wouldn't part with them.. I would put them back in the safe..

Sold my 444 years ago when they started allowing TCs. I regretted it ever since.. For $150 bucks I would pick up a 45/70 quickly..

There will still be a bow season starting on October 1, right?? My roommates keep trying to say that there is no bow season and starting on october 1 next year you can use a rifle. Theres no way right?
Ive been trying to tell them they are wrong but they wont listen to me... I need some proof to prove to them that they are wrong.

Sorry bud. Your friends are 100% correct. Spotlighting is going to be legal as well, but only during the early doe season.v-do wrote:There will still be a bow season starting on October 1, right?? Re: what will single shots be worth?
I carry my 45/70 handi rifle during regular gun season as much as any other rifle I have. Mine is every bit as accurate as my tikka .270 out to 200yds, and much easier to maneuver around with. I picked up a 35whelen pro hunter for a good price the other day but have yet to shoot it. I love the way that tc feels against my shoulder.

Re: what will single shots be worth?
I thought bow season was still the same but primitive would change to "anything goes".
