I don't think it's quite on the way out. Probably a few more batches in them. There was still 2012 Strawberry floating around well into the fall last year.

If you get a chance, try Crooked Letter Mystery Romp. New MS brewery in Ocean Springs. I think they have 3 other beers. Good stuff.

^^ i was told that starkville got its last shipment of abita strawberry lager and buyers are limited to 2 cases per purchase. it's my wife's favorite, so we've stocked up for the rest of the year.

Well, it seems that Abita Strawberry is still readily available in Mississippi. It is totally all over the place in Louisiana. A more recent development is Abita Strawator. On the surface, it seems to be a cross between Abita Strawberry and Andygator. I don't think that's quite what it is - but it is a higher alcohol version of a Strawberry beer. My wife says it's better than Abita Strawberry.

Abita Satsuma is out now. I've read they're doing an Abita Grapefruit Harvest IPA later in the fall.

Lazy Magnolia's Backporch Belgian is out. I had one and won't review it because I'm not really a Belgian fan. I will say the more I drank the better it became.

Green Flash is now available in MS. I had 2 on tap at the Flying Saucer in Memphis back in March and wasn't impressed. I'll go get a bottle of everything they're selling here and give proper reviews on them.

I hear that Sweetwater is going into Louisiana for sure. It's possible they MAY be coming here too. Sweetwater Blue is a favorite of the wife. If you're one of those sissy guys that likes Abita Strawberry - here's you a blueberry beer.

O'Fallon from St. Louis is here. The only fruit beer I like is brewed by them - O'Fallon Wheach. It tastes just like Peach Nehi. The stuff is liquid crack.

You should be able to pick up several different Southern Tier brews over in Delta, LA off of I-20. I can't be for sure if they have Creme Brulee but if they don't I'm going to start harassing them to get it. It is delicious.

For the record, Stone Farking Wheaton Woot Stout pales in comparison to Lazy Magnolia's Southern Gentleman. I know I'm biased but it just wasn't that great. I could get the maple, no pecan - lots of alcoholy taste - no bourbon flavor.

Abita Grapefruit Harvest IPA
interesting...sweetwater ipa is heavily grapefruit biased for citrus flavoring and it is good..especially in the heat of the summer! looking forward to sweetwater making it here!

monkeynaut ipa made it to starkville (straight to ale brewery - alabama). good ipa in a can for the pool/beach/tailgate/turnrow...

cool! motorboat ale and ipa are 2 of my favorites. if you've had the abita grapefruit harvest ipa (if you haven't i recommend you try it, not overpowering like you would expect from grapefruit), the sweetwater ipa and it are very close in flavor profile.
420 ale is good, but to me, motorboat is a more robust, flavorful ale.

pretty good imperial black ipa...i think the "brewed with hemp seeds" is mainly for sales (imho), b/c hemp and hops are in the same family...no real flavor added from hemp seeds, as opposed to flavor imparted by the hops...???
it's usually a crap shoot on "unfamiliar" beer in park city at the abc store (if you've been to utah, you know the abc stamp rule: ANY beer not bought at abc store is no more than 4% abv....odd to see 4% abv ipa's in brands in the grocery that i'm used to seeing @ 7+%).

also on menu: anderson valley hop ottin ipa and hop nosh ipa, (stella artois for the wife), 101 proof peppermint schnapps in the "flask for the task" (lift rides), grey goose & single malts (of course  ).
