Makes sense. Let's face it, Louisville is a much more attractive job than Arkansas.

Re: Bobby Petrino to Louisville
Perfect timing for him as well as Louisville will be playing in the ACC next season. The battles between Louisville and FSU are going to be interesting a few years from now. FSU will have a talent advantage and Louisville IMO will have a coaching advantage.

Re: Bobby Petrino to Louisville
I was trying to remember if he left Louisville on good terms or did he just bolt and run like he did when he left Atlanta. I was very surprised when I first heard this but the more I think about it the more I think it is a good move. He obviously won't be going back to he NFL and at his age and with his past you probably don't have to worry about bigger programs coming in and taking him. So he could be there until he retires.

I think your post has assumptions that don't figure into who this guy really is. And yeah, he left on bad terms. Signed a long-term contract extension then bolted, not to mention during his stay it was made public that he was having talks with several other universities about leaving. Then he'd deny it, then he'd admit it. Wait, do I sense a pattern?........mshunter77 wrote:I was trying to remember if he left Louisville on good terms or did he just bolt and run like he did when he left Atlanta. He also left the Atlanta Falcons during the season and left a note on the players lockers without telling them face to face. Definitely a pattern.
But a good football hire for Louisville. No doubt he can coach.
But off the field issues will most likely be an issue.
Wonder if he has some type of morality clause in his contract?

I knew he bolted from Atlanta midseason without talking to the players just could not remember how he left Louisville.
