Benelli Comfortech stocks...... worth it?

I'm looking at getting a Benelli M2 for use next season. I've been looking around the interwebs, and it seems the difference in the M2's with and without the Comfortech stock is around $200.

For anyone that's shot both, is the Comfortech stock worth it? I actually don't prefer those little arrow things on the stock from a looks standpoint, but if it really reduces felt recoil by 48% I'll just have to get over it.

imo. yes. it's a really nice feature. and recoil is minimal

I want to see the hard data on the "48% recoil reduction." Like how they defied newtonian physics and the formula for free recoil with a rubber insert in a stock. But Mark, I can "FEEL" the reduction after I paid extra for it! Take heart Benelli peeps, I call BS on EVERY manufacturer that does this stuff! The word "felt" is in there to stop class-action lawyers from getting a bite....

Due to bad neck I had been shooting 23/4 every chance I could to help with recoil. I finally took my Benelli 1 to a gun smith and asked him to help me with the recoil as it was causing me serious problems. He did two things for me. First he put a stronger spring in the stock and two he took the old plug out of the magazine. Then he put free weights (washers I guess with rubber stops) in a tube he had cut down so that when I fire the weights move to the front of tube taking out some of the recoil. The tube replaced my plug in magazine and has made my weapon a little heavier in front but after shooting will learn to compensate for the extra weight because the combination of the two took A LOOOOOOOT of the recoil out of the weapon. I wish I knew which helped the most but they were both done at the same time. I know this much I am no longer dreading pulling the trigger and the knot with open sore on my finger from recoil is going away. Hope this helps.

limbsaver pad is a lifesaver for a repaired rotator cuff (not the slip on kind...they end up twisting on the stock). i shoot a supernova w/comfortech and if it is cushioning 48% of recoil, then i've got a dirt bucket full of testicles and 10 yards of pecker!!!

Btw, no one is currently selling the Airtech pad. Is it not available yet?

On second look it appears as though all the new M2's have a Comfortech stock. I saw this one and figured Benelli was selling them with and without. Not sure where this one came from, but it's the only M2 out there that I've seen without a Comfortech

I think they used to sell them without the Ctech. They called them the American version at one time. They pop up online every once in awhile. One on gunbroker for $1100. Not much savings.

This but it's a duck gun it's supposed to kick. Plus comfortech pads are a 100 dollars to replace. You will need to replace it if you hunt very much

I bought the SBE2 American edition (no comfort tech) recoils not that big of a deal

So, I figured out that Benelli discontinued the American when they started manufacturing the Montefeltro. I'm looking for an American now. It's posts like these that drive me nuts......
