You might want to ask 4eyed because I believe I saw a piece of property on the edge of fighting bayou for sale on his website.
www.outdoorproperties.com or something like that?

I used to hunt near fightin bayou, as i understand it --high dollar club, they flood a tremendous amount of land (and food) (not sure how many acres) and it draws ducks like a magnet because of the food source-- a game warden told me in the 1999 season that 80% of the ducks in the area were sitting on the property. Late in the season, food source dries up and ducks scatter looking for easier pickings.

We used to hunt right next to them. A farmer buddy of mine used to farm 800 acres right next to them. It is a slaughter house when they have ducks. It used to be a joke if we would be able to hunt until 7:00am or not. It used to be 50,000.00 to join and 15,000.00 a year.

I hunted with Torch and some other friends across the road from there a few years ago when we had the bad ice storm at Christmas. It was one of the most unbelievable sights I had ever seen. One of those deals that makes you keep getting up to go duck hunting when you don't see anything. The sky was literally black w/ ducks. We didn't even have decoys where we hunted. We leaned against a tree and called. They just kept coming and coming. The snows in the field at Fighting Bayou looked like a white tornado. One of those memories you keep forever. Wish I had money to burn so I could get in there. Of course I am sure it's not like that every day.

The area is generally referred to as Booger Den. Fighting Bayou Hunting Club is right in
the middle of it.The club consits of about
3500 acres, with 700 or 800 in flooded timber. It is owned by the 7 members, and it cost well over a hundred thousand to join now.
