I will never understand why everytime a big deer is killed people flock to that area to hunt. 1% of bucks actually grow to 170 inches. The chance of there being more than 1 170/160 class deer in one area in mississippi are very slim.

I just spent a few days at Panther and can tell you that between the hogs and the coasties, that place is DONE. Saw around 10 bucks in the back of trucks and not one would break 110" all were 2 year old deer. I read some of the jaw bone tags and 130lb to 150lb bucks were being killed by the the truck loads. I did hear of one 130" deer being killed but 200 people hunting and 1 130" deer being taken is a long cry from what that place used to be. SAD!!
