Re: Hook 'em horns!
The funny thing about Tubbs quote is that has lingered around for years similar to Saban's "I will not be the coach at Alabama."
I firmly believe that Saban saying that really affected him (as he admitted numerous times, the last of which on 60 minutes.) In the end, that comment was a blessing for Alabama. Which is why I believe he would never say anything like "I am too old to pick up and go somewhere else." and then jump to another school. The longer he stays, the more irrelevant the quote is. Although some people like to cling on to it, and that's ok because that's all they got.
On the other hand, Tubbs has never seemed to have a conscience and that was evident with his most recent flee to Cincinnati during a recruiting dinner. Same old Tubbs....

It is a pipe dream of LSU and the rest of the SEC that Saban will leave this year to go to Texas, in all likelihood. However, I could see him retiring if he wins it all again this year...or I could see him coaching another 10 years. With the recruiting class he is about to sign, there are several more titles on the horizon for Bama if he wants them. Point being, I doubt he even knows what the future holds beyond the season. He might wake up in Pasadena the morning after winning the BCS and decide he is done. Who knows?webbmaster wrote:The funny thing about Tubbs quote is that has lingered around for years similar to Saban's "I will not be the coach at Alabama."
