Vehicles
Vehicles
Been looking at vehicles, wanting a midsize/sporty SUV, so I have been looking at the land rover range rover line of vehicles.. Anybody have any useful knowledge to persuade me one way or the other??

Re: Vehicles
We will never buy another car from Jaguar/ Land Rover, had a S Type and had way too many problems.....they do not hold their value.....We both drive a Lexus now and have been very pleased.... no problems ( GS and GX) .....JMO

Re: Vehicles
Worst vehicle I've ever owned was a Range Rover (2010 model)......the Supercharged edition. I bought it brand new and had nothing but problems. I would be driving down the road and all of a sudden electrical would go out.......dash would go blank, etc. It also rattled from one end to the other. I read tons of reviews that said the same thing. Go look at used ones online and you'll see they depreciate very fast and there are a ton of them for sale. The best full size SUV we've ever owned has been an Infiniti QX 56. For a midsize.....i'd look hard at a Mercedes ML63 or GL450-550. I know where a very nice ML63 is for sale with about 10,000 miles on it.

Everyone I have been in has rattled like crazy. As others have said look at pricing on used ones they depreciate like crazy. I would say look at a 4 runner if you want something sporty that you will as a hunting vehicle.

Re: Vehicles
I'm gonna get slammed for this, but you DID ask.
Look at the Ford Escape. I know, it's not the most manly vehicle on the road, and they have worked to make it some kind of crossover of late.
However! Despite Ford historically marketing the thing to women whose only off road adventures entail running over the petunias at the mailbox, ours has proven to be a very good vehicle. (We have a 2005 Limited with a 3.0 Liter and 4WD that we got used.) I have used mine to haul: cinder blocks, 2x4s, 2x6s, 3/4" plywood, paint, 4x8 lattice, concrete, dogs, hunting gear, In-Laws, luggage, enough groceries to feed an army, and conference materials of all sizes/shapes/weights/quantities. Not only that, but it rides like a car and gets real world gas mileage of around 20 mpg.
All it needs now in order to spit testosterone is a trailer hitch and all terrain tires. They're coming.

Definitely don't get a Range Rover - overpriced pos. my wife has a new QX56. It's a great car. Rides great, lots of power, drives smooth, very nice.

Re: Vehicles
Only experience i have had is a Land Cruiser. Incredible vehicle.
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?
Re: Vehicles
my wife drives the QX56 and we really like it, its been a great vehicle. I don't really want anything that big. I have been impressed with infiniti/nissan and looked at the Q70 (smaller SUV) and the pathfinders. I can't vouch paying the price for the Q70 when you can pretty much get all the same features in the pathfinder for about $10-15k less. After researching the pathfinder I am seeing a lot of complaints with the CVT transmissions they have started putting in them.
I never have really been a fan of Toyota, know several people that have had camry's and they just seem cheap team me..
I really wasn't wanting a ford or chevy as I have had a lot of problems out of my chevy truck and the company has left a bad taste in my mouth. I personally think American made vehicles are suffering comparable to foreign vehicles.

Re: Vehicles
I have a friend that drives a Volvo xc90... Been a very reliable vehicle. Slap a set of all terrains on and you'll be good. Rides very well and is quiet.
Ex girlfriend's folks had a range rover and I second the over priced p.o.s... Fords 6.0 diesel was more reliable If that says anything
