I really doubt he leaves, this is just more Sexton BS to get his man a raise. But if Texas really lets Mack go then all bets are off. Austin would be a much better place to live and retire than T'town (which is a dump). Most of the hippies in Austin won't even know who he is (special pressures).

I think the 85%ers are really annoying to him. Talked to one today and she is the perfect example of why he would want to go. She could barely put a full sentence together.

Regarding what they can pay. No doubt he has been worth every penny they have paid him his staff and the players. Being from Alabama and having worked in Texas, I can assure you that Texas can out bid all of the SEC schools if they decide too. The 15%ers love to win, but they are smart enough to know Texas will bankrupt them in a pissing contest. If you run a catfish business it is hard to compete with people who pump money out of the ground 24/7. That is just a reality, one Bama may learn if Mack goes.

Just my two cents.

you can keep those 2 pennies. You are going to need them to fund the up coming pissing contest with TX.

Keep telling yourself that.

Funny how the Auburn Paper Tiger fans start spouting off again now that they have a winning record...

Funny how this is all over the news the week of the LSU game. Media distraction? The tigers are gonna need all the help they can get. Just keep focused...and Roll Tide!

... FSU is a near match athletically with a more dynamic QB and Oregon will be a schematic nightmare IMO. As to Oregon, it will be interesting to see what they do tomorrow night versus a lesser-Alabama in Stanford.
Looks like Oregon is getting their booty kicked by a "lesser-Alabama"

Yep. I stand corrected on my Oregon over Bama prediction. I feel for the trick again. They simply do not recruit the type of players that would allow them to win the national title as long as teams like Bama, Stanford, and to a much lesser extent, LSU, OSU and FSU are around.

Stanford physically beat their tail last night. Everyone in the stadium and watching on TV knew exactly what play was going to be run and Oregon simply did not have the physical ability to stop it.

Alabama is much better in every phase than Stanford.

On another topic, it looks like FSU v Alabama in the BCSCG in all likelihood. That would be interesting.

Still a lot of ball to be played, but, if Bama wins out and FSU wins out, that would almost be like the SEC CG last year with GA and Bama.....hard fought football......I would like to see that!

Oregon was once again exposed for their lack of strength......Stanford pushed them all over the field. Tricks and gimmicks will only win so many games......I will say this, if Bama does drop one or two games, I hope FSU pounds Ohio State like Bama did Notre Dame last year.

One day - and perhaps one day soon, the frenzy over these high-output offenses may indeed come to a close. Sure, they sell lots of tickets, but in the end, it's quite whimsical.

Defense Wins Championships. Been that way a long time, and will continue to do so.

Inadequate teams found a way to compete by offering something to try and even the playing field. In some cases, it has. But in others, it's only the "Popular" thing to do. It has a shelf life. Get you some Mules and some Ferraris instead of a busload of Mazdas.

Baylor averaging 784 per game of offense. WTH? They, along with Oregon, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and others need to face about 4 straight Saturdays in the SEC. The gauntlet bloody their noses.
Son, be sure to check the oil. The gas will take care of itself. George Carter - Circa 1965

Saban is scared of Gus. He will run like the wind to Austin.

I personally think Saban is much more likely to retire than to head to Texas. That said, the way Saban enjoys challenges, I think losing to Auburn like that will probably only embolden him to stay and whip Auburn and Gus for the next 5-7 years.

Bama faithful better hope that Saban doesn't leave or retire, they would never hear the end of it from the Auburn fans.

I agree. In some ways, maybe that loss will motivate him, but I am not going to venture down that road.
