Re: Hybrid Duck Boat
I never finished it but started work on a detachable "dog box" that bolted to the rear of mine.
The only thing I added other than that was I attached bungee cord that "criss crossed" the top panels of the boat so I could slide grass and such under there for camo.
The plans on mine called for a small sheet of wood to cover the gap between the back brace and transom. I left that off so I could lean the boat up on it's transom and completely drain it when it got water in it. I'm also considering using conduit to frame up some swing open "doors" for the cockpit that I can grass up......kind of like on a layout blind.

You can modify it how you need as you go along. I followed the plans but made some changes because of personal preferences along the way.

Re: Hybrid Duck Boat
I built one of the original hybrids at least nine years ago- still going strong. I have the deckpiece that runs between the rear brace and transom and a 12 slot decoy bag fits perfectly across it. If i built another, I would add a drainplug , raise the rear deck so a 12v battery would fit under, and rig transom for trolling motor.

Did you ever get the shoe up or just leave it for a conversation piece?rjohnson wrote:And it will glue your shoe to the garage floor, stood in one spot too long and didn't realize it was on the garage floor, about broke my ankle when I movedchampcaller wrote:PL premium is your friend.

I also caught one of the Ryobi 18V caulk guns on clearance sale when I started mine. That thing is awesome. You can adjust the speed it pumps the PL out, pull the trigger, and run with it.
