I am glad no one was hurt. We almost lost a hunter down here this weekend when he went over his waders in deep water. Y'all be carefull out there.

Went to the White river in Ar. last Thur. Saw mhcho ducks, shot a few, then we decided we wher in the wrong spot. Thats when the trouble started. after a 30 min. boat ride down the White(this is one serious river!) we saw a likely looking spot just thru where the river had cut the bank. Well 10 yards into the cut it narrowed sharply,the water was rushing & debris & fallen trees were everywhere. Long story short we managed to get the boat hung on a log & were swamped in seconds. Two men & a dog in the water & in serious trouble. Thankfully we had a second boat just ahead & rescue aws quick. End result no one hurt, guns & equip. lost. Most importantly my wife has outlawed big river duck hunting ---- so I'm hunting with backup equip. & LOOKING FOR A DUCK HUNTING CLUB IN MS. FOR NEXT SEASON --- any info appreciated WATCH OUT FOR THE LUMPY WATER

Sorry to hear of your troubles but glad everyone was safe! Water is something that everyone needs to fear (I know I do).

My Dad and I used to hunt the White and you bet your A## its a serious river, esp. during high water. We have had several close calls. Glad all you lost can be eaisly replaced.
