Taliban militants fighting US troops in Afghanistan taunted Washington over the government shutdown on Wednesday, accusing US politicians of "sucking the blood of their own people".

Had an email show up in my spam box saying there was going to be a veteran's march on the war memorials in DC this Sunday. Not sure how true it is
cause I haven't heard it anywhere else yet. I sure hope they go and tear the Barrycades to pieces when they enter. I hope a lot of them are armed and

I think it's going to take a very very serious violent altercation to get most Americans up off the couch to join in. Our government will declare
a state of emergency and our military will fall in line and obey orders just like the national park rangers are doing.

I agree with you both. And, I don't think that revolution is the answer because the government does control the machine and the military at this point, and a handful of rebel-patriot militias don't stand a chance. But I think that a couple million of us standing on the White House lawn and in Congressional chambers wearing out their ears instead of the internet reminding them who this country belongs to and who runs it can begin to enact some positive change.

The time is at hand for men who are well enough versed in the ways of politics and diplomacy to become leaders and organizers for those of us who aren't to get behind. We need their leadership and they need our support. And, I'm seeing neither applied in any effective manor.

..agreed--it aint bad enough yet. At best we are not even to Civil War #'s yet (ie. North /South then ..50/50....now Red/Blue ie. Conservatives/socialist-Dems Because even if RED/BLUE is 50/50 not enough of us conservatives are ready to take it to the next level...even if we hate whats going on.... the couch and a bag of chips makes the problems go away. and certainly we are not to Revolutionary WAR #'s where a vast Majority is ready to overthrow the King...Just ain't bad enough yet--IMO
