Going through West Monroe on drive home. Just stopped by the Duck Commander HQ. it looks bigger on tv. Lots of fans of the show doing the same.

Great Win Po.........Great Win!

Y'all have plenty talent on that team, but I really think the toughness of Bo is one of the main factors in this teams success. His toughness resonates throughout the team in my opinion.
I could be wrong, but after he made that TD run complete with a juke & spin move, it was on like donkey kong.

I bet Austin was a damn good place to be Saturday night!

Po, all joking aside, I’ve heard some chatter about y’all rolling into turd town in a couple of weeks riding a "4-0 We Believe" campaign. Say it isn’t so Po…..say it isn’t so!
:P :P :P

No doubt. Enjoy being 3-0 / 1-0 SEC and ranked for this two weeks leading up to the Bama game.

The upcoming 4 game stretch is pretty salty -- @ Alabama, @ Auburn, TAM, and LSU.

Yep, I think if we pull one out of the next four we'd be happy; two would be overachieving for sure.

Hey Po glad you got back. Some of my family went but I stayed behind to do a silly thing like set up some bow stands!:)....Thanks for bringing the win home..

Read this report on another board.....Do you agree with the atmosphere over there

Texas officials claim there was upwards of 12,000 OM fans there
When did we become such a travelling powerhouse?? lol I was there, and it did seem that way. There was alot of red there around downtown and campus area. It was almost like it was an old conference-foe rivalry or something. And we are 10 hrs from them! When you go to an away game that's 10 hrs away, and you bring 12,000 fans there, that's big time. We always admire how "big time" schools like AL & LSU always bring 10K-12K to Oxford when we play them here, well, I guess you can put us in that category. And AL & LSU are nowhere near 10 hrs from Oxford. We proved we can be a big-time crowd if we want to be. Playing in the state of Texas helped. We have alot of alums/fans there. And it sounds like we need to try to play there more often, I think we're 5-1 the last 6 times we've played in that state, spanning the last 15 years. Beat SMU in Dallas, won 3 Cotton Bowls, and beat Texas the other day.

Most red was mingled with burnt-orange. Lots of friends-of-families between the two schools. Have any of y'all ever seen so many bachelor/bachelorette parties? Every other bar on 6th Street, it seemed, had a party like that. I saw one bachelorette party where they actually made t-shirts for the occassion with their "school" logo on the front, distinguishing if you were a UT-grad or an OM-grad. lol

Every other bar had an Ole Miss banner hanging on it, next to the TX banner. How cool was that? And the chalk-board "come in" sign had something about OM written on it in some way at just about every bar. Mostly stuff like "Give us a Hotty Toddy for a free 1st-drink!" or something like that. At least one bar I saw, all the bouncers/bartenders had red "Hotty Toddy" t-shirts on! I was very impressed. What a great and fun town that was. It's a big city, and that helps, but I have been to alot of away games in my life and I have to say I have never felt so welcomed. I had a blast.

Just now seeing your post Swamprooter.

Yes, that description was very accurate IMO, even down to the bachelor/bachelorette parties. At our Friday night dinner at Garrigo's, there was a large, raucous bachelor party going on at some nearby tables out on the patio area where we were seated. And later in the evening, we saw a couple of large gatherings of rowdy young women who were likely having a bachelorette party. Love/lust was in the air in Austin.

And that was as large of a Rebel road crowd that I have ever witnessed, other than when we play Tulane in New Orleans. It had the feel of a bowl game. Of course, we have a large alumni base in Texas. So, many of our fans in attendance likely did not have to drive 10 -12 hours. I suspect that we will always have a lot of fans in attendance anytime we play in the state of Texas.

The Texas fans I interacted with were all very nice and gracious to us, reminding us of the great time they had last year in Oxford and in the Grove. I was offered numerous adult beverages and food from tailgating Texas fans on the walk from our shuttle bus to the stadium. I wish that we had taken them up on more of the offers. I got into the stadium way too early, no doubt due to being a bit anxious
about how long it would take to do so, and trying to stay with those who traveled with us.

The west side of Texas stadium is a monster, complete with very large main stadium and upper deck ----there is no other way to describe it. It was full of burnt orange clad Texas fans. We sat on the east side just above where the Rebel band was located, facing the monster. It did indeed feel like the "eyes of Texas were upon us". Texas' band is so large, they almost take up an entire section of the stadium. During Texas' run in the second quarter, the noise level was almost deafening and was very intimidating. Thankfully, the Rebels quieted the crowd with better play in the second half.

With Texas' traditions, large full stadium, and a significant presence by the Rebel fans, the pageantry of college football was on full display. There were several moments during the game when the hair on the back of my neck was standing. Great college game experience. Worth the effort and $$ to make the trip.

I hope we renew this home and home series with Texas. It is a game that creates a buzz with the fan base of each school, and its a great Big 12 v SEC matchup that creates national attention. Just lose the Longhorn Network, and all would be good.
