Yes Texas has a lot of oil money so probably some of the deepest pockets in all of college. I still think Bama would pony up and pay Saban what was needed. Realistically they would only have to pay him this high salary for probably another 5 years. I doubt this even comes into play. If Brown is fired you will probably see them go after Gary Patterson, Chris Peterson, or maybe the guy that just beat them Bronco Mendenhall. As good as Saban is you have to ask if you really want to go after a guy that is getting close to the age that he may retire any day.

It is also amazing how everybody knows the name of AL stadium, but yet prob 2% outside of the Ole Miss fan club know yours......based on that and the past years of let downs and losing seasons, I dont see why the Ole Miss faithful haven't jumped themselves.

If you were Saban, would you not go for a chance? If true, crazy $$$, private jet, control of the program? I would!!! Can't blame him. However, if and a big IF, AL gets a 4th BCS this year, I believe he will stay and try to get 6. Just my .02.
Haha what a douche. Get over yourself.

What exactly is the debate here? That more people know the stadium name that the University of Alabama plays in and not the name of the stadium name that the University of Mississippi plays in? I have looked back through this thread and just cannot for the life of me find where this was made an issue by anyone with the exception of you.

I, for one, do not know the name of the stadium that the University of Alabama plays in, but I really do not see where this is some appalling issue. I believe the statement asked the thoughts by Alabama fans on whether they thought that Nick Saban would leave the University of Alabama for the University of Texas. I, personnally, do not thing he will. But that is just my opinion and I am not an Alabama fan.

Sorry to get off on a tangent. I'll let you get back to arguing over team and stadium name recognition.

This is a done deal.

Mack Brown to step down next week. Saban will be coaching the Longhorns on October 8th vs. Iowa State.

Kirby Smart or Joe Kines will take over Bama until full time coach named at end of year.

You heard it here first.
